A clear, supportive framework that keeps our work safe and steady
These policies exist to create clarity, emotional safety, and consistency for both of us. They help set expectations so you always know what to expect and what’s within my scope.

1. Scope of Practice
I provide peer‑to‑peer emotional support, not therapy or clinical treatment.
I do not offer:
• diagnosis
• treatment or clinical interventions
• crisis support
• medical or psychiatric advice
• assessments or evaluations

If you ever need a higher level of care, I will help you identify appropriate resources.

2. Confidentiality
What you share with me stays private, with the exception of situations where someone’s immediate safety is at risk.
I do not provide crisis intervention, but I will encourage you to reach out to appropriate emergency or crisis resources if needed.

3. Communication Between Sessions
If your plan includes texting support:
• You may message me throughout the week.
• I respond during set hours.
• This service is not 24/7 and not for crisis situations.
For calls or check‑ins, communication outside scheduled times is limited to logistics (rescheduling, questions about booking, etc.).

4. Scheduling + Payment
• Sessions are booked in advance through the scheduling system.
• Payment is due at the time of booking.
• Accepted payment methods include credit/debit card or other listed options.

5. Cancellation + Rescheduling
Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule:
• Please do so at least 24 hours in advance.
• Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged at the full rate.
This helps keep scheduling fair and consistent for everyone.

6. Boundaries + Emotional Safety
To maintain a supportive and ethical relationship:
• I do not provide crisis intervention.
• I do not engage in personal, romantic, or social relationships with clients.
• I maintain clear emotional boundaries to ensure our work remains safe and grounded.
• I may pause or redirect a session if communication becomes harmful or unsafe.

7. Technology + Platform Use
Sessions may be held via video, audio, chat, or text depending on your plan.
Please ensure:
• you have a private, comfortable space
• your device is charged
• your internet connection is stable
If technical issues arise, we’ll adjust as needed.

8. Accessibility + Accommodations
If you need accommodations—slower pacing, alternative formats, or adjustments to communication style—please let me know. I’m committed to making this space as supportive and accessible as possible.

9. Ending or Pausing Services
You may pause or end services at any time.
I may also recommend pausing or ending services if:
• you need a higher level of care
• the work is no longer within my scope
• boundaries are not being respected
This is always done with care and clarity.

10. A Gentle Closing
These policies are here to support you, protect our work, and create a space where you can feel safe, steady, and respected. If you ever have questions or need clarification, I’m always open to a conversation.
